Former England captain Will Carling has said Danny Cipriani could provide England with the spark they have been missing.
Cipriani has been named as a replacement by England for their Six Nations opener against Wales on Friday.
"I'm pleased," Carling, speaking on BBC
Radio 5 live, said of the Sale outside-half's inclusion in the 23-man
squad. "He's an incredibly talented guy. His behaviour probably wasn't
what it should have been, but he's knuckled down and deserves a chance.
"He can offer a style of play which makes
them more unpredictable and more dangerous. You can get to a certain
level in a team without brilliance, but they need a certain spark at the
moment and Cipriani can do that."
